Im more into harder rock like cradle of filth, Nightwish, E Nomine and Rammstien. All in all: Within Temptation has inspired my work considerably, thanks Within Temptation! great song | Reviewer: jason | 10/26/08 luv this song, love this band, they have so many great songs, and i would have to say that they really excell at making strong lyrics go with great rythm and notes. id hav to say i like within temptaion more than evanescence, only because their songs hav EXTREME instrumentation continuation | Reviewer: jason | 10/26/08 in continuation, i must also say that this song is very much like 'mother earth' by within temptation, but i disagree with the whole "Earth is dying" because of us thing. i believe that they purposely wrote these words to give an attractive view of 'saving the planet' however, anyone who has ever taken astronomy will realise that a planet is never 'alive', and that the condition of Earth only matters because the continued existance of humanity depends on it. sure, humans can blow things up, and build great structures, but we are not gods, (though as the song says' as gods we shape the world around'). yes, he have a strong influence on what happens to Earth, but in comparison to the rest of our galaxy, the fate of our people is literally in the hands of 'god', because for all we know, Earth could have ended up like venus, a sulfiric (and unbreathable) atmosphere, violent thunder storms, (and when i say violent, i dont mean bad, i mean unimaginably strong compared to those of Earth), and pressure too strong for humans to survive on. too many people view the condition of Earth as something 'small' and unintricate, but by comparison, humans are the ones that are 'small', and unintricate. I also like this song i think the lyrics are perfect and just the way the music go's along with the Lyrics is amazing. This band is defiantly better then Evanescence and I am a fan of them too.
