Mother Mary come to me
for i am a wicked child
i have sinned and i am so confused and i am a wicked child
i am a wicked child
i am the devils son
and i wish i could be good
i walk a crooked mile
yet i wish i could be good
i wish i could be good
if i could have kept on the straight and narrow
if i could have kept on the straight and narrow
and not have broke your heart
not have broke your heart
now i wake up in the night
it's tugging at my arms and legs
like i was a marionette
send baby jesus
to radiate his light
to radiate his light

Review about I Am A Wicked Child Solid B-Side | Reviewer: riley | 4/2/2007
This song follows a pretty constant theme. It implies the story of a once religious person gone astray. The song's musical style is a sort of blues-y rock n' roll style. I perceived this as a sort of bad-to-the-bone approach. The vocal style seems a bit unapologetic, if the lyrics at all do. At the end of the song, Yorke sings "send baby jesus, to radiate his light." This is not pronounced explicitly; perhaps Yorke is saying "...to radiate his lie." instead. A not-so-subtle slight on Christianity, Radiohead seems to think that overzealous individuals may not have it all right. Perhaps there are more important things in our lives than whether or not we adhere to one religion or another.
