To the person who speaks like a retard and has "insomnia" , take the time you can't fall asleep and invest it into increasing your intelligence by reading books. Seriously, so many f'in idiots that ruin good song comment boards with poorly written comments. Makes me depressed, someone like that ruins one of the greatest bands with comments like those but S&M with San Fran symphony + this song(or any other) = Best concert ever
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! + !

My song. | Reviewer: Tamara | 2/11/09
Ok I know I can't claim this is my song but I feel this is the song that is my life.
I was introduced to Metallica when I was ten. This was my favourite song. I thought it summed up myself, everything I wanted to be, my dreams, my hopes. I wanted to be a gypsy, forever roaming and discovering new things.
Then my sister was born and my ex-stepdad left so I had to assume a parental role. I'm seventeen now and I had forgotten who I was and who I wanted to be because I was forced to grow up so fast.
Recently bought a this album for nostalgia and upon listening to this for the first time in eight years, I remembered who I am. I just cried for hours. I remembered who I was, who I wanted to be instead of what I guessed I wanted to be. I know who I am now and am at peace, thanks to Metallica and this song. Love you guys so much and thank you! You don't know me, but you have helped me in so many ways.
The world makes sense again.

"Metallica’s masterpiece | Reviewer: David | 2/3/2008
This is the combination of great lyrics with great music. “Wherever I may roam” probably is the most universal lyrics Metallica ever produced, even people living 1000 years ago could connect with the message behind it. No matter what we think every one of us struggles for independence. These great lyrics (truly a masterpiece) come wrapped on a very stimulating and exiting music."
Its about that? Well I guess your the professional...
Evolution. | Reviewer: Rosie | 7/8/08
Just proves that you don't have to speed it up to be thrash, and you CAN be melodic. An excellent example, this song. I mean, Metallica isn't and has NEVER been STRICTLY speed metal (to anyone who complains of the tempo)- thrash came from speed, right? Obviously there was evolution. Thrash and speed metal are completely different nowadays, though good bands can always find a way to combine the two successfully.
The best bands know how to NOT put themselves in a box with one label.
