Great song | Reviewer: Corey N | 10/18/09
This song is so great! I love the beat. As for all those people who think its religious, seriously, this isn't red or skillet trying to make a religious point out of a song about a tragic happening or JFAC or slipknot, which tries to talk about more demonic things at times this is 30 seconds to mars. They DO NOT focus on anything religious at all, hey man, even Buddha for mary even though it had the part where it stated her religion, was just a story about a girl who became corrupt through her misery that wasn't her fault, the religion she worshiped being the main representation of said corruption. I don't know if there is a point to this song, however if there is I can almost bet it isn't religious seeing as how Jared even said that he does not focus on writing things about religion, but more or less on feelings and emotions. But, regardless of my rant, all I can really say is that its a brilliant song.

The Savior | Reviewer: Ricardo Briones | 1/24/09
No one can deny the passion and power Jared Leto has in his voice. The question is: Why is he singing about Salvation?.Its undeniable to see his rejection, at the same time He clearly says at the end.Come Save me,come save me. This only leads me to believe in the desire of the singer for a Savior. Someone able to take his pain and heal his brokeness. That Savior is willing if only He would open his Heart and recognize his brokeness.
Years ago someone took his pain, sin and rejection. The Blood He shed speaks of a Love greater than anything Jared could ever feel.He has made a way so he can be Saved!Yes,Jesus did it and he is waiting for anyone to open their heart to receive his Salvation!Thank you Father for your love and for your Son!
SAVIOR | Reviewer: Ricardo Briones | 1/21/09
Salvation from himself? the deep question of life
Do we need a Savior?. I believe is not a human person cause no one is perfect. What Jared is screaming for, someone to love him with Passion and never let him down.
I pray for The Lord to allow Jared to put his finger on the hands and the Side of Him who died for Him.I believe the answer can only be found once you touch The Love of The SAVIOR,JESUS CHRIST!

It's not about Christ, or drugs. It's about a woman. his heart has been destroyed and now she wants to save him after she's harmed him so, and he doesn't want her help.

Until you change, until you deny
Until you believe"

I really love the music to this song, but It's sad how he doesn't seem to believe in 'the' Savior... in the bit where he says "until you see, how could you believe?" I don't think that's true. I believe there is a Savior! ONE Savior, Jesus Christ, and you don't need to see to believe... he has helped the world in many many battles and continues to do so... he shouldn't be blamed for the bad things that happen, for it is man that is to blame... God gave us free will, so we are responsible for our own actions and the consequences that follow... I'm a little confused at the end of the song when he switches from "Don't save me" to "save me"... i think the last part is just more of a repeat than actually meaning save me... if you don't get what I mean. example: "I need you" you can repeat by saying "need you, need you" ... but i'm still unsure... I still enjoy this song
true help | Reviewer: writre900 | 2/6/08
i agree with <Reviewer: J> about how it is all about experience, and you should not help unless you have experianced it yourself....Jared shows that is really asking for someone to save him in the end, but by knowing what he is going through, you can here his pleas for help....
for <Reviewer: Amber> he says, 'what you do' in the background....
Can anyone help? | Reviewer: Amber | 1/24/08
I don't know what says the music in the chorus part..when says:
Don't save me, don't save me, "cuz I don't care"
Don't save me, don't save me, cuz
I don't care
The part that i indicate whit quoting marks (") says something on it..a musical arrangement but i don't know what does it says on it!can anyone help me please?
Who? | Reviewer: soundboredz | 11/3/07
What's a savior? Someone (-thing) that lifts burdens of a life. Could be drugs. Could be hugs. Heck, even could be thugs(i.e., "friends"...it just rhymed.) There is a "peace that surpasses all understanding" and all medication, libation, or relation (man, i love to alliterate). Very few find it. People and things may somehow fill the void, but it's beyond our attainment (just consider the Middle East). So, the lyricist exclaims, at the bitter end, as do we all, "save me."
