Not satanic | Reviewer: ACDChile | 10/25/09

For the religious fag, acdc songs are not satanic, highway to hell is an ironic reference to stairway to heaven, and that's all, and if it really has a meaning, it's the following: The humanity is f*cked and everyone is goin' to hell, or it's another ironic reference, but this time is directed to all those religious fags who think that acdc is satanic

You know (as christian believer) the pharisees right? they thought christians were stupid, and had to be punished for not believing in Judaism. now you're doing the same, your messin with people cause they don't believe in YOUR god?!
i say FUCK OFF WITH YOUR FUCKIN' BELIEVE.
you know the people who tell about your believe (the priests) were child abusers! you want to say god wanted them to be so?! fuck off and bother a hobo with this he might spit you in the face but that was gods intention right?!

WTF? | Reviewer: Someone Sensible | 9/1/09

The guitarist of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page, was not a satanist. Prove me wrong and post a link to him saying that he is if you disagree. BTW, him saying he like to read about magic DOES NOT make him a satanist... and if that was your proof, try again.

shut up | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/16/09

does it matter about the facts, or their beliefs? No, it doesn't b/c if you believe in what you believe you should be strong enough to listen to something and not be effected by it. That shows how weak you are in whatever your faith is. Anyway they said so themselves that they believe in god, duh. And far as that Led Zepplin thing goes, only the guitarist was a satanist. Stairway to heaven had the satanic parts b/c he put it in there b/c he sold his soul to the devil b/c he believed in dark magic and he wanted to be in the greatest band ever. So stop being nerds and listen to the music!

Please get a clue and just enjoy the song | Reviewer: spoonbender | 5/28/09

This is simply a classic song that has served as the yardstick for hard rock performances ever since. All you people going on about the inaccuracy of the Tchaikovsky reference need to study RNR history. Poster "Chris" on 5/23/09 is exactly right - the line is indeed a reference, an "homage" if you will, to the Chuck Berry song, and that is precisely the point - to tie the song to the very roots of RNR.

The part that squirrels me is "a 42 decibel rocking band". Normal conversation comes in at 60dB, so, 42dB would be slightly more than 1/100th of this volume - hardly a "rocking band" since your newborn could sleep right through that.

I always thought the line was "92 decibel" because that number would at least put you closer to a typical rock concert, although I have seen AC/DC 5 times in my life and their concerts are considerably louder than even that.

Science and history aside, this is simply an amazing song, especially the live version, and better yet to see them play it live. Just shut up and enjoy the song. But if you feel you have to bitch about the lyrics, do your homework first

You Reviewers Are Hilarious | Reviewer: chris | 5/23/09

I find it funny that everyone is correcting ACDC for the historical roots of rock n roll when that wasn't the point of the inclusion of the lyrics about Tchaikovsky. They included the line, "but Tchaikovsky had the news" as a reference to Chuck Berry's "Roll Over Beethoven" when Berry sings "tell Tchaikovsky the news". ACDC was saying Tchaikovsky got the news.

I find it so funny we how rock fans, especially many of us Americans don't even know what the lyrics of these rock songs mean or trust rock greats like ACDC to know the history of their craft. Shame on you, guys. LOL. This song is a fictionalized version of the creation of rock and is a great song how it is. Enjoy it.

OMFG there are some morons in the world | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/17/09

the tool below getting all anally retentive about when Tchaikovski was alive has obviously been living under a rock and has no fucking clue. It's called artistic licence and as much as I love (early) ac/dc.... it's only rock n roll dude!!! And as someone else said, it is obviously a reference to Chuck Berry...

and as for the god botherer and his stupid comment...go back and saya few hail mary's and you'll be fine. Who gives a fuck who they worship...that's THEIR business. You'd do well to keep yours where it belongs too.

Rock on!!!

get over yourselves | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/4/09

just like the music and shut yer pie holes. seriously. if you think they are satanists and don't like that, don't listen. if you think they are satanists and like that, listen, or not. who cares. it timeless R&R.

haha | Reviewer: Krystal | 1/31/09
