Solo | Reviewer: Seth | 7/4/07
This song kicks ass!!! It has a great if not the best guitar solo i have ever heard. I really like the song M.I.A. it has a 45 sec. guitar solo that is insane. I think the only nand that stands a chance against A7X is Atreyu but A7X still kills em. This is a really sweet band and i cant wait until 7/17/07! For those of you who dont know that is when the band releases the dvd of their tour in Japan. It is supposed to feature unheard solos of Synsyster Gates and Zachy. I am really looking forward to it. Keep it rocking A7X!!!
Following C-man and Holly | Reviewer: Sean | 6/30/07
As C-man said, the title of the song is a quote from Raoul Duke, an alias for Hunter S. Thompson, from the book Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. Thompson, tripping on acid and driving a convertable begins to hallucinate that he and his comrade, Dr. Gonzo, are surrounded by bats, as he hears the wind screeching around their car. The last line as well, is a direct quote from the book/movie in which Thompson, in talking about Dr. Gonzo, says that he is "Some sort of high powered mutant, never considered for mass production. Too weird to live but much too rare to die." It should also be noted that the beginning line is a quotation from Dr. Johnson's Anecdotes of the Rvd. Percival Stockdale. And there's your backgorund lesson for the day. Anyone who hasn't seen and/or read Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, Do it immediatly, it is by far the most impressive Johnny Depp performance ever, as he spent 3 years of his life in Hunter S. Thompson's basement doing all sorts of drugs. Also, Hunter S Thompson is proof that you can do any drug in public without getting caught as long as you act like nothings wrong XD.
Wow! This song is... phenominal! | Reviewer: Molly | 6/28/07
This song is just brilliant.
Matts voice against what syn is doing, against what Zacky V is doing, against when christ is doing against what the rev is doing is just... 'it tears your brain apart'.
I think Syn and Zacky are two of the best guitarists of this day and age, and have helped put new metal back on the map.
Lyrics ---> Preception ----> Hunter S. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/25/07
Alright, I listened to this song for the frist time under the influence of crazy drugs. I instantly was able to make connections between myslef being high, the bands thoughts and Hunter s. Thompson. "3..2..1 and I'm starting to burn, to many doses and I'm starting to cause an attraction". Prime example..those words were able to sum up exactly how I felt at the time. I really dig the sound and the meaning.
