They were the exact style of music I like and she was a kick ass chick which was awesome and I loved her clothes. But then she put out "The Best Damn Thing" and honestly I was disappointed. It had been pumped full of synthesyzers and that pop-rock vibe that isn't real rock. However, about a year after that album came out, I was going through a bunch of drama with a guy that I was with for a long time who left me for another girl that was...so not right for him. And thats what this song is about. Its not about "hey your girls not popular so leave her for me." it portrays the other girl being more quiet and uptight whereas Avril was fun-loving and spunky, which was better for the guy, which is the point that Avril is trying to make. And this other girl was kindve that way with my guy and he still wanted me. So this song totally relates to my every day drama with him. And the beat is ok, but it's not my favorite song by her. It was very great (and Britney Spears like), I even deactivated most of the other songs just to hear it while driving my cars. I started looking for more songs of her and found this, and the last album, liked both because I like pop and rock, I still like the rock a little bit more, though. She's the singer I like the most followed by Franco DeVita (Spanish Singer), the best band could be Breaking Benjamin (like it a little bit more than AL). Greetings!
