I completely understand what you're saying. But lately, she's gone through a lot, and it's probably really hard for her. Even if you don't like the preppy, "blonde" songs like "Girlfriend", other songs actually have a lot of meaning. Like, right now, I might actually be hurting myself if she didn't have the song "When you're gone". A friend of mine was recently killed, and this simple song has helped me so, so much. I believe, too, that she was perfect in the past, actually until 2005 (since then she 's not Avril), I have also being a big fan of her for over 5 years (since I was 9) and I still being a big fan of the real Avril. Her being very very punk rock and then going girly is really not that big of a deal, nor is it your problem. If you were her, you'd probably liked to be forgiven for her mistakes.
