But once again, I say amen and it's still raining" Having my grandma battle cancer forced me to put faith in God, however my faith was more in the way of expecting God to perform a miracle and heal her then trust that He had the best plan. When we lost her, I was floored, and I was so angry. I thought God had let me down, He took my Gramma away from me. Instead of praising Him in that storm in my life, I blamed him. He didn't live up to my expectations after all, so I was humanly justified. But soon, I realized that I was the one who had let myself down, by pushing God away and refusing to realize He was with me and it was His plan that mattered, not my foolish expectations. He taught me trust, and now I'm ready to take on any storm He sends me through, knowing full well He is with me.
