None of us feels being a rock band on stage should be a pedestal for preaching." Obviously, they do not write songs to preach. Maybe they are religious but they are NOT Christian music. This is an anger anthem, meant to portray the raw emotion of anger and rage when someone is provoked time and time again, and pushed to their breaking point, to the point where violence is not unheard of. Chevelle are an amazing band and they are also an angry band, and these are some of the best lyrics they have that deal with lashing out in a vengeful fury.
