I am a 53 year old woman who met the love of my life in Boston in 1972. We fell in love that summer but I had to come back home to Maine. We talked on the phone for a while (back in the old days when there were no cell phones or email) but lost touch after a while. We met again in 2006 and again in 2007. We both went on and married other people but realize how much in love we still are. This song perfectly describes my feelings for him back in 1972 and for the most part it still rings true today. I can say that it became my best song until today. I have to say that in that same period I had no girlfriend but was hurt not having fouding the only one.
