Would like to know the story behind the song. We are a having a bet about what the song means. I think it is about a country kid who comes to the big city looking for big money. Gets hooked on drugs & the seamy side of life by pimping himself. Then I could be totally wrong. Does anyone know? I can't seem to ask the websites the right questions to get this answer.

Overplayed to death yet never played often enough at just the right moment. It will mark a seminal day, month and year when all of us in the Global South AND those of us in abjectly backward Western Democracies drop our shoulders, tools and ghetto-blasters and simply dance to the erratic beat of Bowie's heart. I dont know if david bowie knew about the song labyrinth or even if that is the name of the song but i couldnt find the words to it anywhere song i got the music out and inputed the words for the song. Again i am sorry if i didnt put all of the words to the song.
