awesome band at awakening!!!!! | Reviewer: dawn weagley | 10/17/05
i first heard of the david crowder band when my new youth director came to my church.he wanted to go to this thing called AWAKENING. i had no clue what that was.then he said that it was a huge christian even where bands play and motivational speakers and comedians all come together for this event.so i was like ok that sounds really cool. so we went and it was awesome! and during the show the david crowder band came up and as soon as they started playing i was like omgosh this band is amazing!!! and i could not get over his cool gotie and glasses. those were awesome! but he had a unique and natural kind of style to him that made me want to listent to him almost everyday.i went to awakening the 2nd time because i heard that the david crowder band was gonna be there.i just absolutally love this band and i think everyone should really listen to this band. they have a very good message and a very cool style.
thanks,

teaching chickens to fly | Reviewer: Ken Ferguson | 9/25/05
I remember hearing about David Crowder several years ago. One of the guys at my church said, "Yeah, I just can't get his voice out of my head." I listened. This was indeed music. Music I might have listened to before I was a Christian, but somehow it was worshipful, the words majestic and powerful. This was a sign of hope for Christian worship music. The light has gone on. As a Christian sometimes I feel like I have to settle for second best in order to just have words that ARE NOT like the pointless lyrics of the secular artists that fill my head with useless garbage. don't get me wrong there are wonderfully penetrating words out there; thoughtful, at times wise, but nothing majestic.
I'm currently reading the book Praise Habit by David Crowder as well. I live in AFrica doing missions work here teaching English (pay no attention to this grammar). The book speaks differently and with passion to a new generation.
I'm proud your my brother David Crowder. Keep teaching us chickens how to fly; the genetics is all there, we just haven't done it in so long.
