They only sound the same the same way all Metal sounds the same to the uninterested. Listen, enjoy and you'll find each song has its own charsima and strengths. Each song has riffs that are individually catchy, solos that are uniquely fantastic, even lyrics that are idiosyncratically cheesy (ha ha). Days after listening to a Dragonforce album, you'll be surprised to find a particular guitar or vocal part endlessly replaying itself in your mind - and you realize what great sounding music it is. That's what happened to me recently with 'Fields of Despair'. Of course, I had listened to the song and album countless times. But then one day, you suddenly find you can't get the tune out of your mind. That's why I looked up the lyrics again here (while at work !) -- and I'm glad to see there are other fans who love this song. 'Fields of Despair' is not my favorite DF song. But then, all their songs are great. How can I choose just one? All I can say is that today just happened to the day I couldn't get it out of my mnd. Maybe tomorrow it will be 'Fire & Flames', or 'Ground & Pound', or 'Cry for Eternity' ...
