Love This Song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/27/09

No one really knows the meaning of this song except for The Eagles themselves but I think it's about how when your famouse you feel like you're trapped and can't get out. It can be a good experience or a bad one and you can never stop being famouse.
It would make sense because alot of the songs on Hotel California are about being famouse too. (New Kid in Town and Life in the Fastlane)

memories | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/21/09

I'm 17 but i've grown up with old songs !
i think these songs such as hotel california can't ever be compared with any new songs !most of new generation's songs are meaning less !
whenever i hear hotel california i fell hope and joy...and of course ..Memories...

My Theme Song | Reviewer: islandelephants | 8/12/09

I live in a Third World country with funky bands in its hotels. All of them have Hotel California on their playlist. Some pretty weird versions. Being from Calif., I always request this song, so often that my favlorite bars start playing it when I come in, meaning that a tip is hoped for. It's worth it because this song instantly brings home into my head. Magic, how sound can capture a place and time. Here's to The EAGLES!!!

Good music | Reviewer: Fishboy | 5/4/09

I like like listening to these song cuz it makes u stop and think
I heard it on the radio and went to look it up on iTunes, then I realized my sister already downloaded it and we had a whole CD
People look at me weird when I say I don't listen to tupac and whatever else, but oldies r so much better KRTH is on all my clock radios and the number one preset in my moms car. I've been listening to oldies since I was about eight andnow I'm thirteen.

This Song is About Hotels | Reviewer: Yeltzin | 3/18/09

i was born in 1953. I first heard this song on my birthday in 1992 and thought hey thats a good song. So i decided to look it up. And i read it multiple times. However i am a Poet. a professional one. And i have discovered that it is actually just about hotels. I called up the lead singer and asked him what it was about he said it was about one time when he got stuck in a hotel in Bulgaria because he lost his passport. The clerk told him that he could check in any time he liked but he could never leave. Unfortuanately the clerk did not speak very good english. He meant to say you can check in but the cops will take you to jail. Mystery solved. And thats the end of that chapter.

EAGLES! | Reviewer: will | 2/16/09

i may be 14 but i have grown up listening to songs from the eagles, dire straits, van morrison, eric clapton etc. and i may get some stick from my friends for listening to it but you simply cannot beat it. nothing nowadays can compare to these timeless classics that once you have heard it once you will never want to hear anything else for a long time. All of the afor mentioned bands/artists have simply reached the pinnacle of music so what is the point in listening to anything else?

I love this song. | Reviewer: gaby | 2/3/09

Becauuse is hard to explain what is about but I know that the song is about drugs adicts because in the last 2 weecks I was searching information and doing a project about the son and I find out that the key is in the last sentence of the song you can check out everytime you like but you can never leave. an adict never leave drugs even if they like to avoid them.

WTF | Reviewer: Freezepop | 1/18/09

Listen people music, like all other art, is a very non-linear thing. Althought the artist who made it may have had a meaning in mind at the time, to whomever witnesses the work, it becomes a personalized experience. In other words there is no "wrong" or "right" answer simply because you should develop your own meaning. That being said, this is an amazing song by the Eagles, period.
