I first heard this song on my birthday in 1992 and thought hey thats a good song. So i decided to look it up. And i read it multiple times. However i am a Poet. a professional one. And i have discovered that it is actually just about hotels. I called up the lead singer and asked him what it was about he said it was about one time when he got stuck in a hotel in Bulgaria because he lost his passport. The clerk told him that he could check in any time he liked but he could never leave. Unfortuanately the clerk did not speak very good english. He meant to say you can check in but the cops will take you to jail. Mystery solved. And thats the end of that chapter. Althought the artist who made it may have had a meaning in mind at the time, to whomever witnesses the work, it becomes a personalized experience.
