My boyfriend was the one that got me to listen to evanescence and i love him for it, the songs helped me get thru times in my life when no one else cud. i love hello, away from me, my immortal, breathe no more, farther away, taking over me, whisper, lithium, sweet sacrifice, all that im livin for an eternal.

They're good, not my favorite, but yeah, they're good; Amy Lee has a good voice, but she needs some vocal training. If she does, she will be able to take her voice to the fullest. Instruments are ok, altought sometimes I think bass is just there to follow the drums's rythm.

^^ so...do you guys have ever heard of diablo swing orchestra? They're so fucking awsome, a truly revelation in metal :). If anyone is interested to talk about this band, reply this message :D

OMG I can't believe you said Evanescence was too strong for you...please, Lindsay Lohan is too "rock" for you?? Britney Spears, amazing singer??? WTF??
If you think BS's music is awsome, I highly doubt of your musical knowlege. Can you tell us, technically speaking, why her music is so good?

And if youu think LL is "rock" and that Ev are too "hard" for you...then you'll colapse in shock hearing some Gorgoroth, or Theatre des Vampires, or Dimmu Borgir.

Pff... i highly recommend you to expand your musical knowledge and tastes, 'cause, for what you posted here, are pretty poor and shallow

what can I say about them... I love them .. all group.. cos as I can see Amy Lee has the most beautiful voice in the world. I am a singer too (in chour) and noone can compare with her... she has the power in her voice, am I right? Of couse I am right... The words from the their songs have change My life... MY LIFE !!! so listen their songs and find out what is hiden behind that words... you can find yourself!!!

evanescence rock!! who ever said they sucks are all probably preps cuz I never met any1 who isn't prep that likes hearing their music. I totally love Amy's voice heck even my teacher hears their music!!! (it's true, my teacher played 'whisper' in class and she has the 1. and 2. Albums) thats all!!

I love evanescence.Ifound out about them a year ago from a friend.I've started my owne band and we play most of there songs.I got on line to day to find out more about them.That is so cool that Amy Lee and Ben Moody meet at youth camp.ut my dream is thave my owne band and write song like Amy Lee.EVANSCENCE ROCKS!!!!!

I effin love Evanescence!!! I didn't know she started out as a christian band, that's interesting. Thank you for posting this, I'm new to this band so I was quite ignorant of it.

Amy you inspire me to become the best I can be. I love that you choose not to be like the rest of the sluty bimbos of hollywood and not use sex to propell you to fame. What else can be said? Evanescence is a truly amazing phenomena. Amy's and Ben's genius and drive created the best band in the 21st Century without a huge financial source. Thru the Dare Devil soundtrack Ev became nationally recognized to give us hope in darkness after 911. I immensely admire Amy's drive, genius and especially in the world of entertainment a good role model.

So,Evanescence is my favorite band, when I hear Amy's voice I feel would dream alive and any trouble wouldn't exist, that voice is the best, the only one, makes me to meet my own and strange darkness... Their songs really inspire me, the best band... As ever I read... "The best alternative rock band of the world"... and that's true.
