I grew up thinking of God as a punisher, or a spy - waiting and watching, ready to pounce on you when you make a mistake. As I got older, I began to see Him as forgiviing, and that He wants us to serve Him. But this song still brings me to tears. It was enough for me to just serve God, but to understand that our relationship is more than that - that He holds me to His chest and calls me friend. If you've never listened to it, find it.
