Review about Cup Of Coffee | Reviewer: Linda Lindsey | 8/27/2007
I agree with everyone here. Shirley Manson conveys all the pain in her words and with her voice-- I just broke up with my boyfriend and listening to the words gets me----like taking a bitter pill.

No words to describe it lol | Reviewer: Alexie or Sandra | 7/25/2007
I agree with Lauren when says that Shirley Manson really shapes her pain into this song and that is the reality of breakups cuz' actually, I had split up with my boy a few days before I heard this song and I felt really impressed by it cuz' it was my own reality at that moment of my life. So...I just can say WOW!

it took a cup of coffee | Reviewer: alex | 4/16/2007
It has been really intense the feeling I had inside when I first heard this song - it is true, these things happen every minute, to every one of us, and sometimes I see myself in front of a cup of coffee, clutching my girlfriend's clothes while she is leaving out my door for good..
wouldn't be the first...
I hope it will be going in a different way this time around...
I hope it for all of you out there, wherever you are___

Bloody Brilliant | Reviewer: Lauren | 5/13/2005
Wow. Just... wow.
You can really tell Shirley Manson (Garbage's lead singer) really conveys her pain into this song. This is the reality of breakups, when you're at the recieving end of a blow to your heart. This does happen. People do take their breakups this way, and it is a perfect example. There is so much heartfelt pain in this. Lyrics that really struck a cord with me were this particular verse:
I smoke your brand of cigarettes and pray that you might give me a call
I lie around in bed all day just staring at the walls
Hanging 'round bars at night wishing I had never been born
And give myself to anyone who wants to take me home
So incredibly poigant, sorrowful, and interpretive in your own way. This happens to be, in my opinion, not only one of Garbage's best songs, but one of the top breakup songs of all time.

Great song! | Reviewer: May-chan | 4/30/2005
I love Garbage, and this song is great. It's a bit depressing, when you listen to it. It's a contrast to "Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go)" which is right after it on "Beautiful Garbage."
The vocals are perfect.
Just Amazing.

Amazing | Reviewer: Tuesday | 7/9/2004
Garbage is one of my all time favorite bands. The lead singer's voice is amazing.
I love this song, it makes me somewhat relax a little when I'm feeling down. It helps me calm down.
I love listening to this song while lying on the bed, wheeping, it makes me feel so much better afterwards (because I listen to "Shut Your Mouth" afterwards and that is a very violent song).
