This song, Looking For Someone, with Genesis, is my youth in a nutshell. Both mentally and in practice. The song (Album Trespass) was one of my first "own" choices when it comes to music. My father "schooled" me first, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, but when I had the opportunity my first "move" became Genesis and Trespass. I was 14 years old. My whole world became "Genesisized" practically, listening day and night to the group. Looking For Someone represented beauty and longing. The Knife, with its "cruel" realistic screams and revolutionary lyrics telling you to "Stand up and fight, for you know we are right" became one of the reasons to myself be active in daily politics; to be aware of the wrongs against people and mankind by society's different rulers. Money counted, human beings not. "Trespass" made me trespass from childhood to a more grown up human being.
