Someone we need today
Harry Chapin didn't just entertain. He told stories. That was his talent. He could tell these amazing stories through his songs, and he made you part of it. You felt the emotions in the song. You felt the emotions he felt as he sang it. Not only that, his songs MEANT something.
What do we have these days? Regurgitated tripe that has no meaning. None of these mondern day artists can hold a candle to Harry.
Harry was taken from us too early. With the terrorism, school shootings, and political corruption we have to face today, we need someone who can make sense of it all. We need Harry.
