Only Incubus could write a song about owning our own destinies, be it "mistakes" or "successes," and make it rock this hard. Inspiring, beautiful music meant to help us all feel confident and skilled at Being What We Are. Also meant to make us realize that we are responsible for where we go in life and no one else. Even choosing the wine and pretending not to be in control is still our choice, our responsibility. One of the greatest songs ever written. Almost contains the entire wisdom of certain 2000 year old spiritual traditions (not naming names hehe) and more in a 4 minute acoustic jam with sweet harmonies. Go Incubus.

Drive is without a doubt my most favorite song of all time. This piece of art is awe inspiring and reminds the soul that it is perfect in expressing itself if given the chance. Life is difficult, but there are bright sides and this song teaches you how to find those lights. Every time I hear this song not only do I have to sing it, but I have to feel it. Carpe' Diem people. ^_^

This song is a great song....i listen to it over and over again....to me it shows me alot in lyfe....its great to hear these kind of songs of which it comes from hearts and hearts of people...this song is great...for people that think about life...maybe listen to this song...this song is about life...thats what i always think when i hear this song...when i go and surf...ahh this song makes me stronger man...love this song...

Everyday i listen to this song...it gives me the strength to live life to the fullest...when im at school, kickin wit the homies, surfin, chillin, blazin, anythime and anywhere this song i can here for hours and hours...i love this song...why, its about life and thats what i like about it...great job making this song to encourage young people to do there best...including myself...

I'm not so very hot on the melody, especially where the two guys are harmonizing. It's blase' and non-melodious.

What I am really impressed with are the words: very poignant. As a victim of attempted suicide, I can certainly relate to this song and the words have special meaning for me. They are encouraging to those of us who have been paralyzed by fear in our lives. The author is telling us to live our lives and let our light shine - it's the only way to separate ourselves from the pack and be different and stand out worthily.

I listen to the song constantly, it touches me so much.

The way I see, this song can be about anything.
We are humans, and we all feel uncertain of the future sometimes.
Since we are born we become a huge onion with uncontable layers that society creates on us.
When we find ourselves in difficult moments most of us tend to take our decisions influenced by all those layers.
From the moment we look inside us and find how we really feel about whatever, we take our own and true path thatfrom those who don't.

If it isnt obvious, this song is about the mass following of religions, and his pull to take control of his own life. Seriously, take the time to understand lyrics. Great song, well written. Too bad people overlook the message.

I first found out about this marvelous band from my aunt, and this song is by far one of the best from these guys. Incubus will live it down as one of the best bands in history. [imo, lol.] They have such a unique sound.

this song means alot to me, it always has a special meaning for a situation im going through. no matter what it is, this song gets me through it. i recently heard it for the first time in a very long time, and i havent stopped listening to it. its amazing.

Believe it or not, I just heard this song for the first time a short while ago. I recently re-discovered it and couldn't stop listening. That prompted me to sit down and figure out the chords on my guitar, and now I can't stop playing it! Congratulations Incubus, you have composed one of the timeless songs of this generation.
