C'mon John! | Reviewer: Hugo de Luna | 8/2/07
It's very easy to say you want world peace when you fancy around in a Rolls Royce, ain't that right John?

Greater of the two? | Reviewer: Tom | 7/24/07
It's crazy to say time has shown Paul to be the greater of the two musically. John had two great post Beatles albums (on several top 100 lists, including numbers 22 and 76 on Rolling Stones' all time greatest albums list). Paul had no great post Beatles albums (none in the Rolling Stone top 500). Paul responded to this song with "Silly Love Songs", among the lamest songs ever recorded. You might personally like Paul's music better, but to say that Paul had the better solo career is madness.
John was still a good person | Reviewer: no imporants | 6/15/07
I thought it was a good song . I just read the lyrics and I haven't even heard the whole song.
However, I hear some of it on the "Image: John Lennon" DvD before this reading of the lyrics.
Yes,....but | Reviewer: Clayman | 6/14/07
Lennon DID admit he wrote that as much about himself as McCartney but John always "blew steam" without thinking. I think McCartney is too lollipop without Lennon and Lennon is too egocentric and heavy without McCarteny,,.together they complimented each other and were dynamite.
uhm.. | Reviewer: REFCH | 6/7/07
HE wrote it for himself, he later admitted that.
And who think Lennon is wrong in something, they are stupid, Lennon is God.
He was the genious of the group.
No one can be better than him.
How do you sleep? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/3/07
um.. do some research before you criticize. he later admitted he wrote the song about mccartney but realized he had really written it about himself. let us not forget that paul punched ringo in the face.. he isn't so innocent either in all of this.
song | Reviewer: Orkun Muftuoglu | 4/29/07
The song is fantastic. You may write 1000 songs with a same style, a copy of another (as is the case for McCartney), but you can only listen or hear them as a background sound while you are shopping at the mart. This is totally different. Here, John is angry, that is the deriving emotion and inspiration, you can feel that. The song starts slowly with a jazzy style, and then some rocky ruffles that ends with oriental classical pieces. This is not designed as words + sound, this is a song, alltogether.
Saint or Human? | Reviewer: Christina Fong | 11/10/06
It is exactly those people who regard him as a saint that would crucify John Lennon for writing these lyrics. He was a guy among four, in a band that was going through a breakup. It's entirely believable that they all took turns "pissing off" one another. So he wrote "How Do You Sleep?" to vent his feelings, nothing's wrong about that! Under the circumstance, its down right human.
Post-Beatles Paul McCartney is also responsible for writing his share of forgettable songs! He too is human, trouble is, he's been doing it for 26 more years than his dead partner.
And while I'm at it, if John Lennon is regarded as a champion of peace, maybe it has to do with his courage to speak out against war and human injustice, in a time BEFORE it became fashionable for "celebrities" to care about something else other than their own popularity. Let's see, what would be a celebrity cause du jour......perhaps landmines and seal pups? Hey, sounds good to some!
Saint vs Human | Reviewer: Christina Fong | 11/9/06
It is exactly those people who regard him as a saint that would crucify John Lennon for writing this lyric. The guy was one of four in a band that was going through a breakup, and it's entirely expected that they took turns pissing off one another. So he wrote a song to communicate his feelings, what's wrong with that?
And if John Lennon is regarded a champion of peace, maybe it's to do with his daring to protest and speak out against war and injustice back in a time BEFORE it was a fashionable thing to do. Let's see, what's the equivalent cause du jour........perhaps landmines and seal pups? Sounds good!
