Add New Review About The Artist The Reviews about Joy Division (page 1/1) pain | Reviewer: sadfan | 7/1/09 understand that through all the critical hooplah and naysayers to new order... three men carried on in the face of the ultimate adversity. ian curtis was a horribly tormented man. his soul is in the music, but he also deserted his friends and family, including a young child. new order was formed partly to pay a debt to the british revenue service for implied income received from a u.s. tour that never happened. imagine having to carry on without your best friend in a band that he made famous and also destroyed. ian curtis' legacy lives on, but don't forget about the 3 men who, 30 years later are still having trouble coping with their loss. next time you listen to new order and think maybe they are a little depressing, remember ian. i'm sure they did in every song they have written since his death IAUIN | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/20/07 Hi there guys, Well, lets start shall we? Anyone? Cuptake? Tea? Joy Div??? Um, yes sir. Humph! Well lads this group started off in May 1997 with their debut album 'Closer' which 'weilds' some of their most uptight music this date. I am in fact, a bit of a 'Divvy' wherein I percieve this to be some of the most timeless ensemble' in our date. Percieve! Dear gents, perhaps we are overlooking the very state upon which musaic was once performed and obleighed??? Upon hearing this Jov Div act, I am to personte an appauling amount of songs (9). Once looking into this glass globe, whereas perhaps a young man might wave his hand and fail to achieve correct procedure. This cannot be reclaimed as an old boy and will therefore, detonate.
