The Reviews about The Element Of One (page 2/ 3)
------ performed by Killswitch Engage

HAHAHAHAHAH | Reviewer: Mavese | 6/8/08

You guys are all wrong! I've been listening since before Alive or just breathing. This song is plain and simply about him and him alone hence"the element of one" he sees things as they truly are and interprets them in his writing which is Just "okay" because the words arn't near as important as the Instruments which is why you all really listen..It's just the shit. But yeah the song is about him wanting to make a love song for people to connect to..The element of one.Is a very catchy song title and thats it.That is why you never hear him say element of one in any of that song

Religious Meanings... | Reviewer: Natters | 5/22/08

You could definitely interpret it as a love song to his wife/fiance at the time. However, I'm nearly positive that the lyrics are about God, because Leach has stated his Christian beliefs numerous times in interviews.

Secret Music | Reviewer: Jess | 3/24/08

The way to listen to Killswitch is when high.
High on what?? Mary Jane.. Im no pothead, its a story they change their Rythm from hard to soft Listen to A Bid Farewell High and you will see What im talking about... -Jess_

I LOVE KSE | Reviewer: Phil | 1/3/08

Killswitch engage is...
They are legends in the making
LOL
The element of one is really about his marriage, cause the title says it all, when you get married you become closer as one union and the lyrics of this song are beautiful, when i first heard this band in 98 i was fuckin amazed i was like an immediate fan of this band FUCK YA killswitch is one of those bands that are going to bring back metal to surpass hip hop and shit LOL

Different meanings | Reviewer: Callisto | 12/26/07

I read most of the other reviews and i think i can understand why each person hears the things they do. I like KsE because their music is simply universal. Anyone who takes the time to think about this song will take something different from it. God, Love, Self. I think it can be any of those.

The Religious Aspect | Reviewer: Icethorne | 12/12/07

(had to correct some things)

He speaks of a creator, maybe...

Or maybe he speaks of the possibility of us all being a creator in spirit.. if you believe of a certain thing to happen at death whether it be your existance in heaven or hell or something far greater as in you can make yourself anything at death. Eternity is ours for the taking. And, I think that is what he is trying to get across to his listeners.. Or perhaps it really was just coincidence that these words just happen to sound like religious beliefs.

Great song. | Reviewer: Benji Deane | 11/30/07

Been a fan of KsE for half a year now, and just discovered this song after fully watching the (Set This) World Ablaze DVD. Had the DVD a while though.
Such an amazing intro, breakdown and chorus. Love it.
KsE - Come to Bristol!

Well,.... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/14/07

(I aint saying this is true)but, to me the song is about god, or some form of "being" that is always there for people no matter what. And is possibly being judged? "this is for you, everything I am
this is for you, take it from me
torn disbelieving separation
I close my eyes
but there is no escaping this
this is for you, everything I am"?

Alot of what they say in their songs is ... well sorta bibleish, especially in "Rise Inside" which says about race and how it doesnt matter about skin colour or creed, and everyone should understand and respect one another.
