Jesse isnt even good | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/18/09
Jesse, Is and was nothing compared to howard, howard is a way better vocalist than jesse could ever be, Howard has way more control of his voice, and can take it deep or soft, jesse couldnt do either, hes garbage, glad he isnt in it anymore, and howard us

Great song with religious elements, but that does not mean the band is religious. A good example is Avenged Sevenfold's Blinded in Chains. The band isn't the slightest bit religious, not one member, but the song is based upon the foundations of Christianity
God the Father | Reviewer: Jordan | 5/29/09
I am a very devout Christian. And I believe strongly in the redemption Christ has given all of us. And Killswitch Engage, though they cuss and whatnot, still have amazing, uplifting lyrics of Christianity. And are ALL outstanding musicians. I listen to many many things. I play in a straight up Hardcore band. No beating around the bush. But I can always listen to these guys. I want to see them live.

i wouldn't say they're a christian band, but there may be some christian bases on their songs. if you want a real christian metal band, as i lay dying is the way to go. but when it comes to kse, i just say they're metal. howard is such a badass
Epicly win song | Reviewer: Danz0rs | 3/4/09
This song does seem to have elements of religion. but just becaus of that, it dosent make it chriostian
I belive in God, though i utterly despise of religion as it is a man made thing that causes war and conflict in Gods name
"Anchor yourself to the foundation of everything you are
Believe you have just begun to live."
This is not just a statment of religion, it purely means that do not change who you are.
kse >> mc hammer | Reviewer: mcboris | 2/14/09
um i know jesse was a 'full-on christian' and seeing as everyone in america is a christian, or at least in the time before their impending death, howard might also be a christian, but not a hardcore christian? (therefore the christian lyrics)
and also, is howard the only one who writes lyrics? adam seems to 50% of killswitch by himself, and he's a christian, so he might also write lyrics.
amazing band | Reviewer: nate | 2/14/09
Just because the lyrics are related to an afterlife, doesn't necessarily mean there christian. I (for example) believe in god and an afterlife but I despise organized religion. I feel from these lyrics that they have been there though. They helped me get over my panic attacks, and in times of suffering, listening to this makes me remember who I am, and that it's nothing I can't overcome.
OMG!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/14/09
I immidiately fell head over heels for killswitch engage!!!!!!! I love the singers vibrato hahah I know.. I'm a nerd LOL jk but omgg this has to be one of the greatest songs of all time! I live in a Christian family and now that I know they are a Christian based band, I have an excuse for listening to this kind of music so my mom doesn't flip out! But uhhhhh-maziiing!!!!!!!!!
Continued Image?!? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/11/08
I agree that there are TONS of Christian based lyrics from KsE, do i think Howard is "continuing" an image of KsE NO! He has come into the band not trying to live up to Jesse's standards or try to fill his shoes. Howard brought his own sound and talent to the band that has in my opinion helped the band, He has a more mature voice and knows how to "control" his voice better. Don't get me wrong Jesse was amazing, i just feel that Howard is a step up and gave KsE a much needed lift.
Classic Track | Reviewer: Cabledd | 8/29/08
The lyrics are very much rooted in christian ideals as Jesse Leach (original lead singer) is a devout christian.. check out some of their earlier songs for more hints towards the religious themes. I think they had to carry on in this direction to maintain the identity of KSE. For me, the Jesse Leach era represented the best of KSE... Check out numbered days and vide infra for some amazing, early killswitch stuff..
