A good song leaves a listener wanting more because the lyrics have such a song pull-- such a strong comprehension of the listeners past/present feelings-- that it renders the listener dazed with collided emotions. Love. Lust. Sadness. Fear. Joy. Anger. Every emotion that lay hidden or out for all to see. And I must say... this band me yet another victim of one of their songs. I LOVE it. This song called out to me on so many different levels. MY interpretation of these lyrics is that it's all about: Someone in love that is facing one of the main first challenges of love; love itself. We all pull a barrier around ourselves to protect our hearts because we are trapped in fear of our insecurities about ourselves and the thought of letting someone in. We have learned to train our minds into thinking that everyone is folly and cannot be trusted. In most cases, sadly, this is true... and usually such truths are discovered after the fact that we have allowed ourselves to love that person. The few rare chances that we do find that true love where we can dive into the joys of life with another freely, that rare circumstance, this song exposes. BUT thats just what I-- someone whom is in love and have faced many different trials while in the game of love-- comes up with in the end.
