I have to say, this song is DEFINITELY about organized religion, considering how anit-organized religion Chris Adler is. The sacred cash cow refers to the fact that Christianity, though began for a more-than-noble cause, has because no more than a means for the elite to draw money from the poor and control their minds. Christians are hypocrites in this song that constantly milk the proverbial "cash cow." The rest of the lyrics allude to the fact that these hypocrites are also cowards who would never consider "facing" anyone with a more noble cause than their own and live up to their own saturated message. The end.

absolutely a-mazing! After The Passing on the Album Wrath, In Your Words really hits you in the face with a wall of raw metal and lyrics brimming over with spite for the sacred cash cow (...Capitalism? Consumerism?). The hate as written in the lyrics seems to pervade the whole band's performance, from Chris Adler's now familiarly stupendous beats and Willie's grinding riffs. Some people describe some metal as producing an almost euphoric feeling, and the instrumental section after the main verses really does this for me; an amazing soaring beat combined with riding guitar interwoven with deep tangential bass riffs (as if metal bassists are just a prop!) all building and rising to a wicked finish. A 10/10 ending to a deservingly split 2-part intro to a top LoG album!
