dude i aint one of those emo freaks but i do respect when you say lyrics mean something in metal when i first heard now you got something to die for it just freaked me out i dint care about the lyrics but now i think i understand what its all about dude i aint from usa or uk or any of these developed countries am from nepal or better say from the land of mounteverest
even from here i can see how much american is exploiting n suffering at the same time
it good to see that someone is tryin to make people aware of that thats why i like lamb of god n lots of respect for you to clearin that thing out for all of us metalfans

L.O.G. Kick ass, Emo's are fashion victims | Reviewer: chuBb | 6/26/07

lamb of god kick so much ass, as for why people give a shit about lyrics, mostly it seems to be emo nobs trying to justify wearing there girl friends trousers, stupid haircut and sound alike bands. basically they watched way to much dawsons creek, somehow thought thats how people actually act, and constantly search for a meaning for anything

it aint metal to ignore the lyrics, its just enough to like it, you dont need justify why u like it with an essay comparing it to some obscure black and white photographer, end of the day if it rocks it rocks. use your ears and listen to what you like, not what your told to like by the media and fashion victims and general herd mentality most of the human race seems to possess

as for "satan" dying when "god" slays him i think you will find the song is about the troops in iraq and afganistan being needlessly slaughtered for the sake of oil and the perceived threat they pose to the US, when in truth the largest terrorist state in the world is the US, where u live in fear with a tyranical government, openly spying on you without warrent or recourse, happily invading countries, and slaughtering thousands of innocent civillians, saddam may have been a dictator, but the country was in a better state with him than without. end of the day the the war was started under false pretenses, i just truly hope that the we are at the edge of the fall that has befallen EVERY "civilisation" before, the greeks, romans, inca's, myans, cus frankly its the least we deserve

SOng is great | Reviewer: Nick boston | 5/3/07

This song is talking about when Satan is going to fulfill prophecy and die when god slays him " Now you've got something to die for" Just listen and also the rise of people against this tyrant government. It shows how blind some people are about the government and the ones who are smart enough to take the time to learn are silenced.

kick ass lyrics period | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/31/07

what a line, just unbelieveable "Now Youve Got Something To Die For" the best music is that which bashes politics and war, that line speaks perfectly to the current situation America is facing. "Face of hypocrisy, raping democracy," you just dont get any better then that, this is new american metal

political influnced lyrics | Reviewer: lars | 3/18/07

i dont understand why people have started giving so much importance on lyrics these days .i know lamb of god is a band whose soul is the powerfull drum beats and the electrfying guitar and equally matchin vocal so who cares about the lyrics being honest i dont know half of their lyrics but i still like the music so now you can call me a amature metal listener or whateva you want but for me metal music is about enjoyin the energy it provides me so for me lyrics does not hold so much meaning most of the time

why are you so constantly owned? | Reviewer: Joshua | 5/14/05

because lamb of god is hard core, that's why! lamb of god. you'd think just a bunch of heretical corpse munching b.s. lyrics like cannibal corpse. Nope! these fvckers rage forth with social commentary blasting some current idiotic political ideological trends in society as well as asinine oxymorons listen and learn.
