And for the kid that said "Lamb of God and Slip Knot are both, the same type of music, METAL" you cant just say all metal bands are 'METAL' cause that would mean Linkin Park would be the same genre as Lamb Of God, or Bullet for My Valentine would be the same as Slipknot, when obviously there not. Comparing any two bands, regardless of how similar they may be, is like comparing a Motorbike to a banana, it cant be done sensibly. LoG is just a groove/metalcore/half-thrash metal band, nice one indeed. Ruin is a nice song, though I prefer Walk with me in hell, Blood of the scribe and say, Laid to rest. Slipknot are way too overrated and technically are not as half as good as LoG. I listen to metallica and iron maiden, frankly i pref this) who cares? | Reviewer: Bob Dole | 10/25/08 okay, I just came here for the lyrics, but this is just rediculous.First off, have any of you even tried to play a lamb of god song or a slipknot song? i've figured out a few slipknot songs just by watching some of their videos because their guitar riffs are simple and i knew they were tuned to drop b, so if there are any notes you don't see them play, you can fill in the gaps by ear just by being in that tuning because slipknot is not technical guitar wise, they're just fast (most of the time) the guitar parts in lamb of god songs are more complex and they do alot of harmonizing, whereas slipknot normally just play the same thing together (there were only two solos in vol.3, one in vermillion and one for pulse of the maggots, mate. feed. kill. repeat., slipknot ST, and Iowa had none)but slipknot is more about their live shows and they have to be TIGHT because they have nine members,and being realistic here as a musician, even trios can fuck up sometimes, and i've seen slipknot in concert, they go all out and each member does their part in making the show as entertaining as possible because that's their job. musicians are essentially entertainers. If you went to see a band for the first time and they all just stood still on the stage and didn't say anything to the audience and they just played their set all the way through and left, you wouldn't be very entertained by that no matter how good the music was. Slipknot won an award for BEST metal performance for a reason. Slipknot does not wear their masks for the sole purpose of looking cool either, paul grey even said in an interview that he hated wearing the mask but after a while he forgets it's even there. The main reason they started that tradition was so that after their set ,when they were still new on the scene, they could remove their masks and ask members of the audience what they thought of "that last band" and get an honest reply. so it's not like they haven't been trying to give the fans what they want.if you have any doubt though that lamb of god has better guitarists and you are actually some one who likes heavy music and not just a preppy emo asshole that has nothing better to do with their life than piss people off by flaming metal bands you know nothing about on the internet because you're frustrated at the fact that unlike you, metal people can get pussy and probably beat the everloving fuck out of you and skin your hides to make some beef jerky to give their dogs as treats, listen to the solo on PATHETIC(which is what flamers are)off the album sacrament at about 2:30 into the song and tell me it doesn't kick the shit out of both of slipknot's two solos. now, drum pedals, joey jordison has two bass drums and one pedal for each drum. lamb of god's drummer has one bass drum with one pedal right behind the drum and one on the left over by the high hat that connects to the one behind the bass drum with a long, thin metal bar just like any ordinary double kick pedal, if you don't believe me take a field trip to guitar center some day. joey is the shit when it comes to drums. lamb of god's drummer is talented but joey is the best part of slipknot. In all seriousness i would not listen to slipknot anymore if they were to replace J.J. because he holds the band togather. he's the only metal drummer I know of that can play a sick drum solo while the ground around him spins and then raises in the air and turns both him and his set completley upside down. this dude continues playing while his hair is reaching from the sky to the ground like it's nothing. Sounds like something out of an acid trip doesn't it? yeah. it's pretty cool. and any one who can't at least admit that is in denial. let's see you try that and see how well you do flamers! OOPS! I FOGOT TO TELL YOU TO FASTEN THE SAFTEY HARNESS! *splat!* but actually it is possible to have a double- double kick, but it would be so pointless and farfetched because it would sound the same as just having a single double kick pedal. what i'm saying is, there are these new pedals now that have a switch you can step on to change it between single and double, but you would need two bass drums and put one at each drum, in reality it would probably be HARDER to play this way because when it's in double mode it hits once on the down beat, and again on the up beat. But i don't think any sane person would do that when they can just get really fast with a normal double bass pedal. Plus that would be a waste of money because drum equipment is expensive. Also, instead of saying double-double like a straight up retard, the more proper term would be Quaddroupple.lyrics, corey taylor sucks vocally but then so does jonathan davis (from korn) but that's okay for the type of music they play. randy blythe has a raspy voice because he's a notorious chain smoker. Oh, and that thing you said you hit once to make the pedal hit twice or something? you probably meant to say "a trigger" and if that was the case you can set those to hit more than twice, and yes, that would be cheating, but i really have no idea what you were trying to talk about because double-double kicks don't exist in reality, probably only in your undeveloped brain which makes up words for things when you don't know what they really are.
