The question is "How can I find peace with all the @#it going on around me?" I mean, you can't trust organized religion, they'll disappoint you. You can't hope in material things such as money, houses, etc..because they can all be taken away in an instant with a poor economy. Relationships with people, (romantic or otherwise), seemed to be unreliable and unstable. And Politics?, the government?, (lol), it's every man (or woman) for their self. Bands such as SlipKnot , Megadeath, and LoG continue to speak to the aching heart cry of many of you. The music offers a hide away and a sense of real empowerment. The musicianship of these bands are INCREDIBLE. I, being a studio musician in ATL and Nashville, can attest to the great and powerful skill they implore. It is evident that they are truly passionate with their craft and worthy of the musical acclaim they receive from their peers and fans. Yet the lyrics leave me with no hope, no peace. I am angry and fed up. These guys feel me. However, I am reminded by a Still Small Voice that there is a Hope. There is a Peace. It is found in pure Truth. If you will only crave the reality of it. There is no power in hopelessness and turmoil. There is only rage and disdain for all that is good. These bands speak well the testimony of frustration, anger, and just being fed up. Yet do not give an answer for all of it. There will come a time when the "ear" of the souls of men will ache from hearing the same message over and over again. You can not escape TRUTH -it will find you. Masking the lie with blistering guitar licks and skillful beats from a drumstick will only continue to hide the TRUTH from you. Do not be fooled by the alluring sounds of empty hearted, anger-filled melodies that these bands, and others present. It is a trap to ensnare the hopeless, simple minded, foolish hearted masses whose end will be disappointing, to say the least. Come out from among them before it is too late and experience real peace, real truth, and let GUTLESS, (that is, those who are afraid to look deep inside and face the reality of the lie that is their existence)wallow in their misery and discontent. The angry will continue to be angry, the disturbed will continue to be disturbed, the hate will become more intense. Yet you have a choice. Step away. Randy Blythe is good too!! This shit is wicked awsome.. The drumming of Chris Adler is the blood of LoG (for me) cause i'm a drummer myself.
