As a Chicano growing up on the southside of San Antonio, this song speaks to me in more ways than I would care to explain here. What I will say, however, is that when I first heard this song I stopped what I was doing, bought the CD, and listened to this song over, and over, and over again. The song spoke to me and I immediately went out and purchased several of Luda's CD's. This man is nothing short of a genius. The voice of an entire generation and someone who goes above and beyond his own subject position.
