Maybe a song about loosing faith in life in love in people but holding faith in oneself. Experiencing a life so cruel so consistantly a numbness embraces the persons soul and body and mind but a a burning passion dwells so deep that swells within ' - held in check kept hidden from all others so as not to be sought not wanted - a silent scream from the safety of lips held tightly closed!
letting go | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/12/09
the most obvious meaning in this song is the idea of being able to let go and for once feel secure.
throughout life all humans suppress the fear of death because the two concepts humanity can never comprehend because of the way our minds work are eternity or an end leaving us somewhere in the middle undecided and doing our best to ignore the fact that we can never rely know. I believe this song evokes such a powerful reaction because when one considers the feeling of letting go of life and finally being presented with a simple answer to the question "is there more" they get a sense of the overwhelming relief and then in turn a realization of just how much fear has been suppressed. clearly this can be reflected in one of the most important factors in life that almost every one struggles with the fear to act. and its probably most likely the intended idea that one wants to let go of their self doubts and find out if that person that fills their mind rely does feel the same way and the similar tremendous relief and overjoy that comes with that.
Full Throttle | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/1/09
I think the song is about wanting to experience life in full throttle, "No Holds Barred". That includes the ultimate high of letting go of ones' self and falling in love. Sometimes we let ourselves go through the motions of living, but we are not really experiencing anything for fear of rejection or failure. This song gives me a buzz for life.
Very good song | Reviewer: Some Guy | 1/27/09
I think that the song can be taken in the two ways - 1 being depressed (easier to identify), the other is wanting to really live one's life, try new things, and do amazing and exciting things in life (slightly harder to identify)
just food 4 thought :P
what i think | Reviewer: phill | 1/6/09
I don't think song is about love and broken heartedness. I think this song is about trying to find something more in life. Trying to live a life to remember. Trying to find a feeling that you have never felt before. Not love, but just a certain feeling in life that makes you feel the greatest you have ever felt. Also, this song means that you want to find something new in your life. Something great. Something that you will remember forever.
Great song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/7/09
i love this song so much. i especially love the part "i wanna let go and know that i'll be alright". i cling too tightly to people and i just need to understand that if i back off, i'll still live.
wat i think | Reviewer: Vinny | 8/30/08
There can be many diffrent ways to look at this song and find diffrent meanings in it. The way i see it is that he has had his heart broken. The worse pain you can feel in life is loving someone with all you have and then losing them. After that for awhile you feel impervious to all other pain like nothing else in the world can hurt you as much as that. So by him talking about wanting to feel a car crash, a bomb drop, the world stop, i think hes trying to find something else that will make him feel some sort of comparable pain again, and that he will keep wanting to feel those things untill hes "satisfied" and when he finally is, he knows hes ready to move on.

There are obviously many diffrent ways you can interpret this song. I think hes talking about being broken hearted. The worst pain you can feel is when you love someone with everything you have and then lose them. For awhile after that you kind of feel impervious to all other pain, like nothing in this world can hurt you as much as that did. By talking about wanting to feel a car crash, a bomb drop, and the world stop, hes trying to find something in this world that will give him some sort of comparable pain or feeling, and that hes going to want to feel those things untill hes "satisfied" and when he finally is, he knows hes ready to move on.

I think this song is a combination of what many of you have said. I hear the pain of emotion, of a loss or confusion. I also think it's like a search for a purpose. He has lost and now he needs something better to come back around
