Review about Ride The Lightning ------performed by Metallica | 07/12/2004 4 out of 5 Found the view helpful This album is when Metallica's style begins to show through most definitively, but is still untainted by a softening style that is obvious in their later Black and S&M. I'm sure there are those that would disagree, but between Ride the Lightning and Kill em All, Metallica was at its purest, most blackhearted and generally evil (are these not the qualities intrinsic to Metal?) state.
