If it were "pain" you would clearly hear an "I". He sings "Flames". Furhtermore, "I can feel the pain" sounds stupid, he would obviously feel pain in that circumstance. And the last time he sings "I can feel the ******" you can clearly hear an "L" after the first consonant. Though, it is possible that the lyrics here are right, maybe he sings "pain" the first time, then the two next "flames" .... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/27/08 i dont see why anyone wouldnt like their new stuff. ok st. anger wasnt the greatest thing in the world, but load and reload werent horrible. just because your a metalhead (like me)doesnt mean you cant like other stuff. load and reload really expressed how james was feeling. you have to respect that. and ALL the lyrics on st. anger are amazing you have to learn to respect more than just the music. and.....i do think it is flame, not pain listen to it live on the "some kind of monster" CD. he says flame. and he forgets the words to one part. but whatever. its flame. Correction for Mr. Anonymous; Dave Mustaine did not play on this album. Maybe you had it confused with another freakin amazing band. I'm not even sure Dave played on Kill 'Em All. Yes the intro and solo are awesome, but never underestimate the power of the riff. It's a true classic. I don't like their new stuff as much, but I still think their great. Love 'Em or Die. Their new stuff is not of the same caliber as the old. The intro and solo are amazing, as has been said, but don't overlook the power of the almighty bridge riff! Metallica created thrash.
