From Point A to Point B...From Sound A to Sound B | Reviewer: KrepEZ | 1/12/2008

I really love this song from Sad Sappy Sucker. I really like how it transitions at about 1 min. 40 secs. into that accordion riff with the trodding, slowly paced drumming. Brock's delivery of the lyrics at this point is a kind of drawn out sob that is really appropriate and sets the atmosphere for that portion of the song very well; it makes it very memorable.

From Point B to Point C | Reviewer: ModestMousekateer | 10/3/2007

What a great song. I love Modest Mouse. Their old stuff is so much better, so much more personal than their newer stuff. I'm a cynic, and so is Isaac Brock, so I guess that's probably why I love his lyrics and music so much. Anyways, this song is amazing. The nuances he talks about are so true, yet you don't realize it until it's told, or you read it. You can be lonely, but not necessarily alone. At work, at school, at university/college, or even at home; there's almost always someone or some people surrounding you. But you can still feel so alone and depressed... Now I think the first two lines ("From point A to point B, lots points with no points in between, for me") have to do with (a) the theory of infinity (in standard Math grade 11, for Ontario) which consists of saying that to get from point A to point B, you'd have to get halfway through first...so you'd have to get to another point. Let's call it C. But to get from A to C, you'd have to get halfway through, so to D, etc. Well, the theory is pretty logical...but is there a point to it? No, none. There's no point to it. Who gives a flying feck? What good is it going to do for us? Then comes (b) lots of people have points, when it comes to life, arguments, work, school, relationships, etc. But again, what's the point of having these points, if one day, you're going to be dead anyways?
