The Reviews about Head South (page 1/1)

Passion rules the arrow that flies... | Reviewer: Repstock | 3/23/2008

As an overall song, lyrically and musically, having a distinct identity apart from many of the other songs from "This Is A Long Drive...", Head South seems truly origignal in that way. All the songs are excellent, this just has a kinda Hawiian Musicesque, surfboard rocker appeal. I don't know what I am saying, they all have distinct impressions, Tundra/Desert captures the feelings of social alientation amazingly, Lounge is etheral and blissfull and also loud and abrasive. I guess when you explore their music this much, each song separates itself from the album and you start ot have visual impressions for each of them. Not just the album as one idea, each song within the album as a separate idea as well. Ideas about the songs you have start to spring up and evolve into something else. Head South creates a world within my mind of life if life were to be played to this song. The reality within the song. You can go to these songs in a way, to go to different places/or worlds in your mind; where you're somebody else for a change and the possibilites of the unknown start to show.
