Add Your New Review About The Song The Reviews about Novocain Stain (page 1/1) ------ performed by Modest Mouse Amazingly deceptive initially, slowly becomes one of the best tracks from "This Is A Long Drive..." | Reviewer: Repstock | 1/15/2008 When first going through Modest Mouse's first studio album, "This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About" I didn't really acknowledge this song as I was all caught up on tunes like "Tundra/Desert", "Talking Shit About A Pretty Sunset", "Make Everyone Happy/Mechanical Birds", "Lounge", etc. I have since realized upon listening through the album again, that this song is really an underrated MM tune. The subtle tonal transitions are wonderful, the lyrics vivid and visceral, Brock's vocals are just exceptional as well. I really just love this album and I now acknowledge Novocain Stain as one of the best tracks; truly excellent music. great | Reviewer: Bird of Prey | 1/10/2008 best band around, loved them back in these days, but I also love what they've grown to become, and that includes Good News and We Were Dead. My favorite album of all time though is still Moon and Antarctica 2. This song is about over-commercialization, like many of the older modest mouse songs.
