Sandwiched between Black Cadillacs and The Good Times Are Killing Me, this song doesn't really stand out. If you listen to it out of context however you realize that it's actually quite brilliant. That such a good song can go mostly unnoticed is a testament to how good an album GOOD NEWS FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE BAD NEWS really is.
The Chorus is the highlight. | Reviewer: Repstock | 12/1/2007
On such a good album, this song isn't necessarily one of my favorites, but the chorus is very memorable. "I'm just a box in a cage." It as if it relates to the idea that we don't have control of our lives in this world, it is sort of predetermined. A box in a cage is a cage in a cage. We are trapped in body that is a vessel for our souls; a prison even. But that is an acceptable compromise because we have this one chance; This one chance is our lives. It appears to us in these fleeting, vexing moments in time, and to make it right means to live it as you want to live it.
