Muse and statements that reveals the true nature of their view on this world. | Reviewer: Joakim | 4/10/10
Of course Matt tries to inform the people about the great conspiracy though his text. Anyone who knows anything about whats happening around us can clearly see that MUSE texts are directly referring to this happenings, if knowing the band and their opinions they are true guardians of free speech and use is in a cleaver way.
Black holes and Revelations, HAARP, Exo-politics, These are most unusual words spoken of, especially HAARP which is the American new super-weapon replacing the nuclear bomb. Latest attacked Haiti cause of great oil reserves found nearby. Creating a false relieve campaign to steal money from the most harmed people in this world, showing the beast of the elite rulers and their total lack of sympathy or empathy for mankind.
Europe has also a great ionospheric heater at Tromsö Norway called EISCAT, which launched a great amount of energy into the ionosphere the 9:th of December 2009 to test the defense against a Russian bulava missile. This phenomena is called "norway spiral" and news are lying that the missile created this several miles wide spiral just as conspiracy theorists are falsely claiming its a UFO invasion or a black whole.
It's a plasma state of the atmosphere due to megawatts of energy launched with several paralleled connected antennas.
Of course you will not find any of this claims in mainstream media, maybe because the corrupt businessmen and Freemason Rupert Murdoch and News Corporation owns 80% of the worlds media!
There is a reason why Muse is a member for 9/11 truth and made their concert in Glasgow 9/11/2009 Resistance Tour.
Is it that hard to believe? He's truly one of us and not a part of the Hollywood propaganda machine, they got humor, and they are human with love for all of us.
Hope this clears out some of the quarrels of their texts, they are themselves showing us their opinions. No one can misunderstand that!
They even had a t-shirt on their concert saying "terror storm" google it and you will see why! (not that Alex Jones got all the answers or has any alternative to this profound sick society we live in.)
The General Election | Reviewer: AMuser | 4/7/10
I feel this song is greatly significant in this current period here in England. I know the song was written a few years ago, but the album was released a year after the last general election. I am greatly influenced by Matt as I have grown up listening to their music; I have been a fan of them since they released Showbiz when I was 4, so i believe in the conspriracy theories presented in Matt's lyrics. We are currently leading up to another general election in May, and I feel that his song goes with the times as it is about over-turning the government. I feel like we are contolled by a demoncracy, and no matter which party we pick, things will always stay the same and shan't change. I love this song and I love Muse even more. :) xx
A call to arms | Reviewer: Wifflum | 1/24/10
This is not a warning. This is not a message to leaders.
As with other songs by Muse, this song is directed to the people. It is a call to arms. Now is the time when assassins are needed. This demonocracy needs to fall; this government where money rules all.
These songs are no peaceful warnings to power, they are calls for the people to break that power. The time has passed to vote our leaders down, it is time to shoot them down.
Violence is necisary some times | Reviewer: Jason | 9/3/09
Yes this song has many meanings and many anti social ways then one but theyre speeking on how a assissin is made. Its a warning to those in power saying who manipulate the law to stay in power and keep every one else in poverty. It says that under these conditions civil war is started and assissins get made.
Demonocracy | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/24/09
I must say this. Being an extremely talented musical group, Muse isn't going to only have one possible meaning for their songs. I am a writer, and if I go and write a poem for instance, I write it with a certain meaning in mind that is relevant to me, but I don't make it so constricting that it is only my experience. Some authors do this and it is a style that they have adopted, but most lyricists, artists, authors, etc. write with possibility for the audience to relate with themselves or to interpret it how they wish. If you go and read, listen to, or look at a piece of art five times, you could potentially get a different view on it each time, thus further increasing your understanding on the subject. With this being said, I think there are many different interpretations of this song, and many of them are correct, for the person making this judgement.
kosmos | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/6/09
seems pretty simple to me: fuck democracy. on the right hand we have democracy, which blurs the line between state and society. as a result it is completely inclined toward totalitarianism, as it makes it easier to politicize every one and every thing in society. Historically speaking, tyranny has always been the path of democracy. The left hand of Western gov't is liberalism, which is basically a polemic against aristocracy and, after slaughtering a few of europe's best and brightest, the target shifted to the totalitarian state formed by the less cultivated assholes who took their place. The two are incompatible and the result is a neurotic, schizoid public that can only agree on the lowest common denominator (through which the modern elite controls the public). since the modern elite no longer care about the consequences of lowest common denominator behavior, any sensible person with the will to express himself or herself would rise above the slavelike state of "equality" and, as Voltaire said, "Écrasez l'Infâme." You can do this with actual violence, or you can negate your enemies on the metaphorical level with occult warfare by tapping into the public unconscious and modifying the structure of reality there.
MK-ULTRA | Reviewer: anonymous | 6/3/09
the song is about "project MK-ULTRA", a covert CIA mind-control, and chemical interrogation program. CIA documents suggest that "chemical, biological and radiological" means were investigated for the purpose of mind control as part of MK-ULTRA. also, many of the program's "studies", relied heavily on the administration of LSD. In 1973, CIA director richard helms ordered all MK-ULTRA files destroyed. Pursuant to this order, most CIA documents regarding the project were destroyed, making a full investigation of MK-ULTRA impossible.
my opinion | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/22/09
this song tells about Assassin itself - the original Assassin (Hassashin), a secret sect of Imailia of Shia. based in Saracen, Suriah in 12th century.
they are a group of trained killers with capability to work covertly. the members were recruited since they were child. the leader called Old Man From The Mountain or just Old Man.
during crusade, they were hired to killed Christian's leaders. Assassin were feared by Christians so it mentioned in old texts and the word Hassashin adapted into English.
but this sect not fanatic. they're just opportunist. they were also can be hired to killed moslem, mostly sunni, leaders.
One thing to consider | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/8/09
You do have to consider that Muse is an English band, not an American band. I'm not saying that they are less because of it. Quite the contrary, I love Muse. But maybe what they are writing about isn't necessarily about the USA. As an American I know that we can be self-centered (if you open your eyes you'll see this) but maybe this isn't exactly about us at all but rather simply an inner struggle of any oppressed person and what happens in their mind and body until they react to the oppression they face. The war part of it is that fact that an argument is always expressed as a war because it is easy to compare to and everyone understands it as stated by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson in "Metaphors We Live By".
Interesting Song | Reviewer: Dude... | 2/13/09
This song to me represents anyone/anything that doesn't want to live under oppression. It also had other meanings, I would say.
As to the post that said 'a country who goes to war for no reason' you're insane. I don't like that War either, but to suggest the USA is so evil is absurd (or that Bush was a war Criminal). Bad president, sure, but war criminal? Give me a break.
