dude seriously you cant call someone emo beceause they have a sad song once in a while cos then all pop muisik would be emo. and lol if u see ppl saying there emo just remind them that gerad way (singer)said:"I think emo is fucking garbage, it's bullshit. MCR isnt emo. Just thought I should clear that for everyone. Emo is Circle Takes The Sqaure and Rite Of Spring. Go on iTunes and listen to those, you can tell. If you think MCR is emo then listen to cancer and then decide whether or not they're emo... you choose.

MCR is my absolute favorite band, and this is one of my favorite songs by them. Everyone yells at me "ew. they're emo, they're stupid! they're terrible!" and i HONESTLY, REALLY don't understand it... all I can say to those people is, "wow, maybe you should actually listen to the lyrics and the technicalities of the instrumental parts and compare it to the simple and mindless techno beats and idiotic rhymes of your rap music..."

This became my favorite MCR song! love it!!! MCR is amazing and their songs are awesome. They're WAYYYYYYYYYYY better than all that emo crap out there. These guys are unique and have their own style. I like every one of their songs and this one is great.

this song is how I feel at the mo' Oh about the emo...Maybe it would be better to scrap the emo talk altogether? If anybody says this is emo, just ignore it, tbh the emo shite is driving us apart. thankgod the whole emo stuff is kinda gone though.

Alot of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge is darker, but also remember that Three Cheers is "telling a story" so it's not My Chem feeling that way or them telling us to do that. It's just a story, guys!

i love them, they inspire me so much.
and like the person below me said, the "slit your wrists" line in cemetery drive doesnt mean they are emo. the line is "singing songs that make you slit your wrists, it isnt that much fun". they NEVER encourage self harm, they speak out against it all the time in concerts and interviews.

I love My Chemical Romance, I loved them before they got to the popularity that they have reached today.
I hate the entire "MCR IS EMOOOO"-crap.
Even though their lyrics are way darker than for example pop music, it doesn't mean they're emo.
It's just because they showed up just when the "emo kid"-label started going around the world - so unfair.
Anyway, they're a great band, they're awesome people and their lyrics are great.
Also, regarding the "slit your wrists"-shit in Cemetary Drive.. come-fucking-on. Not only emo kids hurt themselves. Also, Cemetary Drive is an older song, and the older songs included things such as suicide and self-harming. NEVER encouraging it though.
MCR is one of the best bands to listen to if you're feeling low. They lift me up.
Enough about the emo crap.

my chemical romance never was emo and it's not emo, emo is hardcore and my chemical romance aren't hardcore... is just this, if it's not hardcore it's not emo i don't know how someone can think that things like paramore or my chemical romance are emo...
