MCR | Reviewer: Anonymous Bob | 9/4/07
Really, I have no problem with this song as much as others out there. The referance to 'what's under your shirt' doesn't refer to a gun at all, it's about MCR's great dislike of cliques in high schools. I didn't and still don't see where anyone got any idea of violence in the song. And what you wear doesn't reflect your intentions in life, I've worn primarily black for a few years, I'm not going to kill someone who pisses me off. And don't use netspeak when writing a review.

I like this song. It's pretty good. The musical talent is somewhat okay. The singer has a unique kind of voice. But then again it's not like I haven't heard somthing like this before. But then again, if we didn't have music we haven't heard before. . .where would we be? All in all. . .I like it.

The parents have weapons | Reviewer: Jennifer | 8/31/07
Even if "under your shirt" refers to a gon, the kid got it from his parents. Read the first verse, "they sleep with a gun" refers to parents, or adults in general. I'm a graduate student at Syracuse University training to be a therapist. It is un ethical to blame just music for a few violent kids. I've been to very many punk and rock shows. I like Marilyn Manson, Fall Out Boy, and Rob Zombie, but I never brought a weapon to school or tried to hurt people. You have to look at all the systems around the people that are violent (home, school, friends, culture, society). WHen a kid brings a gun to school, it isn't just the kid that is to blame. Where did he get the gun? HOw did he sneak it out of the house? Were his teachers paying attention when he came into school? Did his peers know about it before hand? These are all valid questions that should be examine. Don't forget about the millions of kids who aren't violent, but still listen to punk. Be nice to the kids with piercings and dyed hair. We're in the National Honor Society, Mock Trial, write for the school paper, save the environment, and one day might be your therapist.

reguarding you wonder why columbine happened | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/29/07
Use what's under your shirt does not refer to a gun, it refers to using your arms, you know the old way of using your fists not weapons. Also if you paid attention to the lyrics they are talking about how people automatically think if you are a teenager you are a violent individual and have no sense. That has been the topic of punk rock for years. Stop looking for excuses to blame a few misguided sick individuals actions on music and look at their mental history or the lack of structure in their home environment.
PS Im a 25yr old college graduate and a parent

i love this song but i hate what people r writing about
im srry but some u need to see a very popular quote

*sighs* | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/18/07
This song is merely stating the stereotypical mindset of a large number of teenagers...it's a rebellion against the 'system' run by adults.
It's clearly stating that modern society creates a population of mindless zombies who confirm to the rules and regulations laid down by their parents, teachers, politicians etc.
"What you've got under your shirt"...this may not necessary mean a concealed weapon. It may just as easily be a reference to a heart...saying that if you keep heart you can easily overocme all the people that put you down to become what YOU want to become...not some fool that tries to blame all of societies problems on music and lyrics.
