Three or four chords that anybody could play (although singing his high notes is a different story) and straight, clear lyrics. The whole album is a gem, a part of a treasure that shouldn't have been scuttling across the shelves of silent rooms. If I pay attention to that sweet "Communist Daughter," it just takes me to a far away land. "Fool" as well. "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" contains very interesting twists and turns, in addition to its great ending of course... "Can't believe how strange it is to be anything at all".
