She degrades, he is drug down hypnotically into the degradation, he thrives on the mutual degradation, because he's hooked. He loves the way she abuses herself because it gives him a feeling of power and excitement, he hates the way she degrades and disrespects herself because it is a reflection of his own unsavory side. Just like "rock-star", he is just commenting on "the way it is for some, sometimes." Sometimes for some, life is hoaky, without deep thought or deep morality, somewhat compulsive, but offering feelings of being alive and vital. Not only do their lyrics and some of their songs reflect upon past experiences but it's something everyone can relate to. Now this song has a little contraversy, but it's a lot better then some of the songs the newer bands are coming up with. They're music is unique and genuine. And Chad the vocalist has a unique voice which adds a little punch into their songs.
