The Reviews about Mr. Crowley (page 4/ 8)
------ performed by Ozzy Osbourne

idiots. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/3/09

If you're one of those uber Christians, why would you listen to Ozzy anyway. its no surprise that he didn't always have the most christian-like lyrics. I personally just listen to the music, not the words most of the time. And i was raised as a Lutheran, so i know what Christianity is like, and i know what christian people are like, and quite frankly they're fucking insane! sit down and think about if you had to tell someone who knew nothing about Christianity the story of Jesus. He would think you belonged in a mental hospital! I have drawn away from the church for such reasons. And well.....Ozzy is awesome, and so is Mr. Crowley. so just shut up about how theres some hidden satanic message in there.

Ok to the guy who posted this
Some analysis, ha! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/29/08 If Ozzy could read all the fucking comments your posting here, he would wet his pants laughing his lungs out.
You obviously went against your own words:
you talk about Morrison, Ozzy and Satan like you had met them in the flesh and live with them. Here you say Ozzy would laugh. But saying that brings your critisizm back to yourself. Please don't say something like that if it can be directed back at you. Have a nice day. And its a song. If it has a message we will find it out. Whether its satanic or not is up to the maker. dont assume its satanic if the maker hasn't specified.

holy shit guys | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/30/08

You people dont seem to understand that people that sing, write or play this song dont "HAVE" to belive the meaning of it. Music is about making fans happy. Just because this is Ozzy's song dosent mean he's a satanist or friggin demonist it just means that he is playing on the type of music that made him famous seriously gey a grip on reality.

Let me say one thing..... | Reviewer: Diab | 12/21/08

This song effin rocks on Guitar World Tour.... just awesome. I mean... if you can't just enjoy a song for what it is... an expression of an artist in an effort to entertain his/her fans, then the artist failed. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the music. The funny thing is... someone is going to over-analyze my post like they did the lyrics of this song. Oh well.

this I why I don't believe In religion... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/29/08

This song is an amazing song, The lyrics do have meaning but not a message. Ozzy has never once written a song that said the satan is a fun loving guy who just wants you to have fun. personally I hate religion for the fact that it turns people into religious zombies who will stand in front of an oncoming train completely convinced that God will stop the train. thats all I have to say about religion, I could go on but its pointless.

Wow | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/4/08

This isn't about the song so I'll be brief. After reading some reviews I just couldn't help but state a few things. None of you know a damn thing of Aleister Crowley and the guy who came closest thinks the Old Testament is taken from the Necronomicon! The Necronomicon is a legend coined by H.P. Lovecraft. It isn't real. That doesn't stop the existence of at least 3 different ones in print! I am a Thelemite. Thelema was "invented" by Rabelais and organized into a mystical system by Aleister Crowley, taking elements from many spiritual disciplines. He did things that at the time were shocking and most of it would Not be so today. He certainly wasn't evil.
"There is great danger in me; for who doth fail to understand these runes shall make a great miss. He shall fall down into the pit called because, and there he shall perish with the dogs of reason"

If Ozzy could read all the fucking comments your posting here, he would wet his pants laughing his lungs out. You talk about the lyrics like you were lyricists yourselves, you talk about Morrison, Ozzy and Satan like you had met them in the flesh and live with them. You don't need to be a hotshot scientist to know that Ozzy, like some other guys in the business, doesn't give a fuck about what other people think he tried to say on a song. He enjoys it either way. He plays with your mind. And for that guy on the top "Pitbull" only a dog´s brain would have made such comment on the lyrics. You got it all mixed up with that shit of "Satan being the spirit of music" and "Morrison taking notes". You fuckers, if you don't have anything intelliget to say, just don't fucking say it.

ozzy fans | Reviewer: Pitbull | 10/8/08

well...all I have to say is that as a classic rock fan, I always liked this song, and Ozzy for the most part. I agree that it does seem to be from the perspective that Ozzy sings, that he is taking pity on Crowley. Nevertheless it is a tribute to him. BUT, make no mistake...satan is all over rock through and through. The musicians admit it themselves. Jim Morrison talked about this frequently, regarding his demonic possession and Satanism. Jim Morrison believed he was a shaman and that spirits used his body to influence the masses. Morrison met what he refers to as, “Satan” the “spirit of music” when living as a street person on Venice beach. It was at this time that Morrison received some of his most influential songs as he took notes as Satan gave Morrison visions of concert situations with completed songs. Morrison said it was like taking notes at this fantastic rock concert. The rest is history. Morison’s music really was not his own. He was a mere puppet who prostituted his body for worldwide fame and fortune. So...come up with your own conclusions from those that actually admit it firsthand.

First you might do well to check out the facts. Ozzy mispronounces Mr. Crowley's name, hardly a devout follower, eh? And according to the better sources, even tho' Ozzy sang "did you listen to Satan's call?", Crowley didn't believe in an actually "satan" and he didn't talk to the dead; he believed in reincarnation.

Of course religious people react before they do their homework. It's easier to criticize blindly than research and use your own brain.
