The Reviews about Mr. Crowley (page 3/ 8)
------ performed by Ozzy Osbourne
... let the times roll... | Reviewer: humbled dry | 2/6/09
Ozzy tells it all...
He dares the dead (Crowley) to wake up after his long death to prove that Crowley was Satan's assistant in earth, so the Satanism (awakening the dead) can be proven....
But yeah...
we're just mortal after all...
wtf | Reviewer: anonymous | 1/27/09
dude... let's just end the whole fucking discussion here. i mean leave ozzy's songs the fuck alone. Religion has absolutely nothing to o w/ this fucking sng!!! ENJOY LIFE A LITTLE!!! come on ppl! plz leave this topic alone and just fucking drop it already. there's 6 fucking pages of debate and shit. If u wanna find flaws in others, first find flaws in yourself. PPl go on and on looking at other's specks on their souls while we should be looking at ours. Goddamn, i hate people
Dumb people | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/27/09
First, ozzy does not belive in satan. he is angelican. And second of all, if ozzy was readind all of your other comments about him, he would wet his pants, laughing his lungs out. Thanks to all of you, Ozzy's doing the laundry tonight.
Controversy.... why? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/29/09
It's just music, and damn good music at that. Mr. Crowley is a great song, when it was produced and even today it still resonates with truth. Those of you that don't know who Crowley was look him up, it's an interesting story. So don't throw out your ozzy records when you get "religion" plug it in an chill.
idiots | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/13/09
i am sick of all these lllloooooooonnnnnnnnggggggg long long reviews and i am here to say don't say anything bad about ozzy unless u know that is true 100% or unless u r ozzy but it is true ozzy is a great singer.
and i have nothing else to say but... all u guys are doing isd fighting over whoes story is true about ozzy, who knows maybe u guys are right about ozzy,
but also u might all be wrong about ozzy.
So guys if u do say things about him think of this.(call ozzy and see if what u r saying is true, talk to him, meet him)and yet as u recall me saying DON"T say anything about ozzy unless u r ozzy or unless u know that it is 100% true, So stop fighting whos story is true and whoes story is wrong and just live up to the fact that all of it could be wrong, but all of it could also be right,So next time when u guys post something about ozzy think of this message,And u will know that all u r is idiot's saying lies about ozzy, but true some of it could be true i am not saying everything is wrong what u guys say.
so please think of this message next time.
and YOU FUCKING ROCK OZZY (head bang) (head bang)
cya guys.
Not exactly a tune celebrating Satanism | Reviewer: ken | 1/12/09
I remember hearing the Kirk Cameron show "Way of the Master" use this song as an illustration of music that our kids should be protected from. because it celebrated "satanism" or at least Mr Crowleys life.
Did they read the lyrics? Listen to the song? from the first sentence of "What goes on in your head" clearly Ozzy is not calling him a friend.
Secondly, awesome song as many of Ozzy's are.
Religion clouds life | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/10/09
you dont have to be a christian or a satanist to like this song, u dont hav to disagree with it just because ur religion says this kind of music is bad (being and atheist i dont hav to worry abut this but thats beside the point)the point being Ozzy is great at what he dose and his music reflects that so dont be afraid to admit u like a certian musican just because u dont like that type of music for the most part
thats like sayin u dont like rap or scremo or rock even though u may like sevral songs that fall under that genre.if you get in the way of what you want to belive ur an idiot.so stop complanin and just enjoy the music
Mr.Crowley | Reviewer: Msh931 | 1/9/09
ehm too much drama about satanism, christianity and stuff. I think this song doesn't have any hidden satanic message or anything like that. Ozzy just wrote a magnific song about Crowley which in some way was significant to him. Anyways who cares? This song is just awesome
Ridiculous | Reviewer: Garey | 1/6/09
Have any of you ever heard interviews with Oz or Sharon on this?
Ozzy thought "Crowley was ridiculous" and he wrote this with intent on shedding light on that. Song writers, especially the good ones, don't throw trash on paper. They write with a purpose and Oz has stated several times that he wrote this to expose Crowley and his decptive ways.
Please read Ozzy's letter to Randy Rhodes - after death. His note to Princess Diana and almost any of his later notes/letters. Or do any history on the king od metal. He is an Anglican! He signs many letters with "God bless you" or "May the Lord bless you." Not exactly Satanic.
His image is that of "metal/rock" but he is not Satanist and this song was meant to expose how stupid and evil the poor Mr Crowley was.
...To shed some "light"... | Reviewer: Mitchell | 1/5/09
Under normal circumstances, I do not write reviews on a song. But I have found the rest of these reviews hilarious and I think some things need to be clarified...
Let's start with, as some of you here do seem to know (this is for the people who don't), Ozzy Osbourne is no Satanist. How do I know this? Perhaps because I am one, thus know the religion well. He writes lyrics that include Satan and sometimes hint on Satanism, but this is because it goes well with his style of music.
Next, Ozzy Osbourne is a fantastic song-writer. Why is it that little flaws such as "He doesn't even pronounce Mr. Crowley's name correctly" matter? It is his song, perhaps if he were to pronounce it correctly, the song would just not sound right. It's about feel rather than accuracy.
Lastly, (and I do recognise that I previously said i'm Satanic, so nobody point this out) every single religion is stupid. Whether it be Christianity, Paganism, Wiccan (more of a way of life though), Hebrew, Muslim, and i'm willing to admit, even Satanism. They all have flaws and contradictions, thus, nobody should try and press their religion on anybody. Particularly not in a song review.
