makes me feel better now | Reviewer: andrew | 9/26/07
this song used to make me feel uneasy because I thought the last line was "we all hope you choke" and I always thought that was a nasty thing to say about someone, but then I realised it was based on Romeo and Juliett and it all made sense. Nobody climaxes a song like Radiohead, it's like a lightning bolt in your head.
It was for a film | Reviewer: Mark | 9/17/07
The song always made me think about Romeo and Juliet.
I just learned that it had been commissioned by director Baz Luhrmann for his Romeo + Juliet adaptation.
huh. | Reviewer: diana | 9/15/07
Lyrics aren't the only things to take in to consideration when trying to determine the meaning of a song. Listen to the way the song crescendos and how (like most other Radiohead songs) the outbreak of emotion sort of seeps in throughout the end, as though he finally lost it (whatever "it" actually is).
I think it's about finding the person who found you, then regretting it. I don't know how to put it in better terms.

To jc,
please don't fight over this. A song has the meaning it has for you and it has the meaning it has for someone else. Of course it has a meaning for Thom. But then again, it could have had many for him to. When you write a song or poem, the fact that it can be interpreted in different ways is quite welcomed and it sometimes is even by the writer. Ihave to say though that for me it's always been about two lovers but its because I'm a man. Having been a woman, maybe I would've heard it that way. Re-reading it form this point of view , it works quite well.
To Mike.
Shut up. Sometimes, some things move you so much that you just have to share it whit anyone, that you just have to express what you feel. And you should know that this is more brain kissing than ass kissing.
help end a fight!!!!!! | Reviewer: jc | 9/2/07
I think this song is a bout two lovers running away together and my wife thinks that this ground bracking song is about a mother and a baby running away. All your views are wellcome. many thanks jc
One of a kind....musical suicide note | Reviewer: Alex | 8/31/07
Of all the songs ive ever heard, with the exception of Matthew Good's "Advertising in Police Cars"
this is the most vivid gutpunch i can think of, absolutely makes you wanna cry like a little girl.Theres nothing stronger and to think its only the 4th track on OK Computer!!!!
Thom has never sounded more haunting and the chorus of gothic humming and schoolyard children ("Come with me")in the background, to end on "we hope that you choke" over and over and over....
it just sends you over the breaking point.
I never thought a simple song could affect you so much.
I could go on & on here, Radiohead= greatness and all that, but we all know that already don't we? Simply put,
Theres nothing like Exit Music.
