listen to this song when you're high.
not promoting drugs, but when you close your eyes and you feel the music going through you, it makes you realize things in life i bet you wouldn't think of sober.

this song is utterly beautiful. radiohead is by far one of my favorite bands-

this song is so depressive, so good, so weird, at the same time. When rains, when you have pain, this song makes your feelings blow and go away.YEAH>!

The Liffey | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/14/07

The river Liffey is the river that runs through Dublin city. He was sick of touring. It all hit him in Ireland and Michael Stipe of REM, a good friend of Thom Yorke's told him to repeat the line "I'm not here, this isn't happening to himself" so that he could step back and take a break from it all. So he decided to write this song about it. It was originally titles 'How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found'. It was also performed twice in 1998.

Fun Fact | Reviewer: Jordan | 7/23/07

Actually this song was written about a dream Thom Yorke had about walking down a liffy he used to live near as a kid. He was floatin around and could walk through things cuz it was a dream. Interesting song.

This has to be my favorite radiohead song,
Its the only one that makes me feel normal when Im feeling really shitty..
Which is alot of the time cuz I have depression..
But I love it,
It makes me feel like I disapear..
And thats usually what I want to do most of the time..
Great song though..

this could may be one of radiohead's best songs. try listening to it on a rainy night. its about slipping away into the modern society and never being noticed and before u know it ur lost. it sets soo many moods. no other band would have been able to capture the emotions that radiohead did. "How To Disappear Completely" really fits in with "motion picture soundtrack", they both have the same mood. BRILLIANT.

I believe it was written after Michael Stipe (of REM) told Thom Yorke to say those words to himself, during the 1997-98 OK computer tour, when Yorke (and the rest of the band) were extremely sick of touring.

-I'm not here, This isn't happening-

Heartbreaking | Reviewer: Alex | 4/29/07

a terrifying beautful song,

the only song in my opinion that comes close to capturing
the total numb dread of a disacossiative mind

'im not here, im not here'....

one of three standouts from 'Kid A'
along with 'Idioteque' & 'Motion Picture Soundtrack'

best song ever | Reviewer: broken | 4/24/07

One of Radiohead's best | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/14/07

Absolutely awesome song and I agree with the person who says if you close your eyes while listening to this, you completely disappear. A sublime song in every sense of the meaning.
