In the 60s, there were the hippies and their nice sounding peace songs. They tried nice--didn't work that well. I looked at RATM's site, and they are for reals, not just making kickass music, but speaking out about injustice, like some poor peaceworker guy that got killed in a bogus raid--you can see this on the site. In "Freedom" they talk about the insanity of the whole Leonard Peltier tragedy. In this song, they are nailing the truth, many cops in the U.S. are KKK members or white supremecists, and carry that outlook into their jobs. And they are killing in the name of "Jesus, God, & white supremacy". And this song expresses it great, with rage, without compromise, great beats and riffs. Awesome. I love RATM!!!
