I love Relient K. and this song has such a wonderful meaning to it. I LOVE THIS SONG!! I cry when I listen to the song. The first time that I heard it, I wasn't paying attention to what the lyrics were actually saying, but when I listened to it again, I couldn't stop crying. WoW!! This is just such a powerful song! But I wasn't really listening to the words, i thought it had a nice tune and cool rhymes. So I put it in one of my play lists in iTunes that I just put on in the background. But just recently I went on a long country road trip. I was listening to my iPod, and this song came on, and so I listened to it, to the words and it meant something. I played it quite a number of times through, and every single time I played it I got something new from it. Especially the bit where he asks for forgiveness, and then at the very end about the Way Truth and Life, and He is love! I never thought that an eleven minute song could be so good! Lol I love God! I can't help but think of the verse John 3:20 "For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." Pretty much people who do all the bad stuff are scared of Jesus because they don't want their bad stuff to be exposed. Relient k has such brilliant analogies and the switchfoot part totally hit it home for me. whenever i hear this song it reminds me of how we all mess up and fall so short of God's glory, yet how graceful He is to us.
