But, I believe it is to be taken strictly metaphorically - faking my own suicide is the term used by Relient K to describe the intentions of the main character to "leave all this world behind". This can be achieved simply by moving away to a different city. This song may have been meant to be saterical but I think it's absolutely horrible. I personnaly know someone that tried almost kill himself by shooting himself in the stomach instead of his head in the hopes that "the love of his life" would cry for him and regret breaking up with him. It's a shame that a group that represents itself as a Christian band would stoop so low as to encourage someone to such a base evil thought as this. It is wrong, it is of the devil.
